Gnawing is one of the most important activities and needs of our rabbits. It not only helps with dental hygiene, but it's also great fun for these little furry friends! They especially love various branches, which delight them with their natural aroma and pleasant texture. Today we're introducing you to three great varieties: Raspberry branches, linden branches and plum tree branches.
Raspberry branches are very popular with rabbits. They are pleasantly firm and have a lovely, natural sweetness that immediately appeals to the animals. The bark is also tender enough to be gnawed on. The small leaves are also edible and provide a welcome change in their food bowl.
Linden branches have a particularly mild bark and are therefore ideally suited for rabbits with sensitive stomachs. The branches are somewhat softer than other types of wood and are easy to gnaw on. Linden wood is often said to have a calming effect, making gnawing a relaxing experience.
Plum tree branches are somewhat firmer and therefore ideal for persistent gnawing rabbits. They have a slightly sweet taste and contain many valuable nutrients that support the health of rabbits. The bark is aromatic and readily accepted by many animals.
Besides dental hygiene, branches encourage your rabbits' natural behavior. They nibble, build nests, and keep themselves occupied – which reduces boredom and stress. It's important that the branches are untreated, pesticide-free, and fresh.
